Solitary fibrous tumors (SFT) are rare neoplasms originating from fibroblastic mesenchymal cells. In this case report, a patient with cardiac SFT, which is rare in the literature, is reported. A 43-year-old female patient with a known malignancy presented with palpitations. Supraventricular tachycardia was detected in the emergency department, and surprisingly, a giant mass was detected in the left atrium in the echocardiography performed after the sinus rhythm was restored. The patient was operated because the mass caused symptomatic severe mitral stenosis. In the pathological study of surgical specimens, the mass was diagnosed as a SFT. Cardiac masses are very rare in clinical practice. Data on SFT in the literature are limited to case reports. Further studies are needed due to the lack of literature on the management of this disease.
