With this document, we updatethe recommendations for transoesophageal echocardiography (TOE) ofthe European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging. The documentfocusses on the areas of interventional TOE, in particular transcatheteraortic, mitral, andleft atrial appendage interventions, as well as on the roleof TOE ininfectiveendocarditis, adult congenital heart disease, and aortic disease.
