The use of antidepressant and antipsychotic drugs is not generally well-appreciated among physicians other than psychiatrists. Like almost all drugs, they are not devoid of cardiovascular effects. Since cardiac disorders and psychiatric diseases may well coexist, implications of this coexistence should be considered.
