We evaluated the ECGs of 82 patients which had intracerebral hemorrhage in the acute phase. A variety of ECG changes were seen in 94 per cent of patients. We observed commonly QT prolongation, T-wave inversion and ST segment changes. QT prolongation, ST changes and prominent U waves were seen more frequently in brainstem bleedings. ECG abnormalities seen in intracerebral hemorrhage are considered to result from disturbances of the cardiovascular regulation center lacated in the hypothalamus and brainstem.
