The most common compliation in transcatheter PDA occlusion with Rashkind prosthesis is embolization of the device to the pulmonary artery. In this paper, possible reasons of the embolization and transcatheter retrieval of the occluder are discussed. Furthermore, our preliminary experience in 4 patients with transcatheter removal of the Rashkind prosthesis and repetition of the occlusion procedure was reported.
